Meet The Staff

James V. Barrett, CR, President and owner of Fire Restoration Services of New England founded the company in 1968. In 1980 he attained the title of "Certified Restorer" (CR) from the National Institute of Disaster Restoration. He was one of the first members to receive "CR" status by this prestigious international trade association.

Among his many titles, Jim is past president of the New England Institute of Restoration & Cleaning as well as past president of the National Institute of Disaster Restoration.

He has consulted and worked on several major losses throughout New England and has spoken before numerous national and international trade associations as well as insurance companies, agencies, independent adjuster groups and local non-profit associations. He is also a published author, speaker and consultant to the industry.

Mr. Barrett has appeared on the "Sharon King Show" WBZ-TV, Boston and "Boston Panorama" on cable TV.

Albert N. Bellows joined Fire Restoration Services in 1975 as a cleaning technician and learned the necessary restoration techniques and organizational skills to be elevated to foreman. In 1982 Al was promoted to Project Manager supervising and managing restoration of residential and commercial property.

Al has attended many trade association seminars and constantly keeps abreast of new techniques to expand his expertise in the field of restoration. James V. Barrett, President said "We are fortunate to have such a conscientious person such as Al as our Senior Project Manager".

Mr. Bellows said, "Our company is very service orientated and we understand that those suffering a loss from fire, smoke, flood, vandalism and other perils are in a very stressful situation and can not always think clearly. We are there when they need us to lend a helping hand."

Al served as Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict.
